Community Service

Our students are very involved in community service and Christian outreach. Although the service programs may change annually as needs evolve, the following are several of the programs in which our students have participated:

• School-wide collection for a variety of local food pantries located in New Bedford, Acushnet and Wareham.

• Opportunities for community outreach to local nursing homes

• Collection of shoes for Africa

• Collecting Pet supplies and food for the local Fairhaven Animal shelter

• Helping out at Gifts To Give and volunteering at the M.O. Life food pantry

• Visiting Alden Court so students can share their Science Fair projects with the residents

• Collecting “Happy Hats” to go to children who have lost their hair due to the effects of cancer treatment

These service projects make our Saint Joseph School Fairhaven Mission Statement come alive by engaging our students and staff to live the mission of caring for all God’s People.
