Elementary Grades

The beauty of a St. Joseph elementary education is that we know your child and your family and therefore, can recognize each student’s needs for personal success. Grades 1-5 are so important for developing confident learners infused with Catholic virtues in order to acquire strong academic and study skills that will follow through middle school and beyond.

Grades 1-5 are very exciting years as SJS students expand on the academic foundations that they established while improving their reading, writing, and math skills. For example, they will build a strong number sense and problem solving strategies in math.  Students become more experienced writers and readers by practicing and building on their reading skills which includes critical thinking.  Finally, our students investigate and discover the world they live in.
